Lt. Colonel Lakin

Declaration of Support
for Lt. Colonel Lakin

We, the undersigned:

Noting that the respectful observance of and conformity with the terms of the Constitution of the United States has been and remains the mainstay of the public peace and national security of the nation;

Further noting that the Constitution of the United States plainly states that “no person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”;

And that the Constitution further specifies that “The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States;”

And that all commissioned officers in the United States military must make an oath of office in which they solemnly swear or affirm that they will “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” and “will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”

We hold that it is self-evident that any officers who knowingly submit to the orders of an individual not constitutionally eligible for the Office of President violate their oath of allegiance;

And that reasonable doubt exists as to the constitutional eligibility of the present occupant of the White House, Barack Hussein Obama.

We reason that until that doubt is clarified, no duly sworn officer in the United States Armed Forces can be certain in conscience that they faithfully execute their oath of office;

And that this uncertainty weaves a thread of confusion and hesitation throughout the fabric of military discipline;

And that this constitutes a threat to the order and discipline of the United States Armed Forces, and therefore to the national security of the United States;

We therefore commend Lt. Colonel Terry Lakin for the appeal he has made to Barack Obama to take the steps necessary to remove the doubt that clouds his tenure of office;

And for his willingness to ascertain the lawfulness of orders purporting to derive lawful authority from the assent and signature of Barack Hussein Obama;

And his further willingness, if necessary in order to do so, to submit to court martial in order to resolve the question by legally and constitutionally authoritative means.

We declare our admiration for his moral courage and prudent resolve;

And for his conscientious sense of duty and loyalty to the Constitution of the United States, the integrity of American military service, and his fellow citizens in the Uniformed Armed Services of the United States.

In token of our support for his considerate action we append our names and signify our joint and mutual agreement that, when a sufficient number of signatories have been added, this declaration of support will be forwarded to all the currently serving members of the United States Congress.
